MARK MULLERY

How the caring for a plant becomes the only meaningful thing in an apathetic office worker’s life can be watched in the Irish animation THE OFFICE ENVIRONMENT by Mark Mullery – our latest Spotlight on.

Mark is a 22 year old Dublin-based animator originally from County Sligo. He has spent four years studying for an Honours Degree in Animation in Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) where he has learned a mix of traditional and contemporary animation techniques.

With his graduation film THE OFFICE ENVIRONMENT Mark has entered a big festival marathon – with success: It made its Irish debut at the 21st Galway Film Fleadh where it received an Honourable Mention in the category Best First Animation. The next station is the 10th Darklight Digital Film Festival in Dublin.

Besides animations his second passion is electronic music and he regularly DJs in Dublin. His composition DIVA SMILES was currently exhibited as part of the Tweak Electronic Arts Festival in Limerick. For a start you can watch THE OFFICE ENVIRONMENT in full lenght here:
