SCHOOL OF LIFE

What’s SCHOOL OF LIFE?

SCHOOL OF LIFE is a special film programme for and about teenagers. It was first established by britspotting in 2005. Since 2006 the programme is screened in addition to our festival in the Filmmuseum Potsdam. It includes short films, features and documentaries and is favoured by pupils and teachers.

In 2007 SCHOOL OF LIFE expanded its programme with film workshops after the screenings. On the basis of some film scenes the pupils were taught how to analyse film sequences. In addition they were given an insight of the British an Irish film culture.

The screened films are about coming of age. Our programmers always try to find films that include current topics that are important to the young audience.

All films are screened in the original version (without German subtitles) to improve the language skills of the SCHOOL OF LIFE participants.
