Festival Director
Alex joined the britspotting team in 2007 as festival director and divides her time between London and Berlin. She has worked in the film and television industry for ten years. Her early career started out at the BFI Southbank, working for the two major London film festivals (London Film Festival, London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival) as well as managing all on-stage events. Wanting to spread her wings, she moved into television production and became a production manager on documentaries for the main British broadcasters. Recently she started producing short films, many of which have played successfully on the international festival circuit. She is currently in development to produce her first feature film with a young British director, who has previously shown work at britspotting.

Head of Sponsorship & Marketing
Fleur is joining britspotting for the first time this year, having attended the festival as a viewer in 2008. She is head of sponsorship and marketing, and is delighted to be part of britspotting’s passionate team of film lovers, something she too considers herself to be. As a “not-for-profit” festival, britspotting’s search for support and co-operation partners starts again each year, and it is this work that is currently keeping Fleur busy. Until this year Fleur has been working on a PhD thesis but her recent move from the UK over to Berlin has brought new opportunities to become involved in Berlin’s vibrant cultural scene!

Babsi started as an assistant in the festival center and then went on to become the leader in the same department, co-ordinating the hospitality of festival guests. Working later as assistant festival director, Babsi was kept truly busy until her Masters studies took over. But for britspotting’s anniversary, Babsi is back in the fold to lend her experience and knowledge to the rest of the team!
